One year later…

Today – It has been exactly a year since we have first set foot in Italy.  WOW!!!  I can’t believe it.  Already?

I cannot say it has been easy but I do not regret having the opportunity to live this once-in-a-lifetime experience.  I met wonderful people.  I discovered a lot about them and about myself.  I have travelled to wonderful places.  Last but not least, I have a clear vision and goals to attain with regards to my photography; something that might not had happened without this outside Canada posting.

I have to admit, I never thought I would miss Canada that much and my view on my country has changed considerably.  Sure, we have our shortcomings, flaws and weaknesses in Canada, but I became more appreciative of what we have.  I am so proud (SO-PROUD) that one of our strengths is cultural: acceptance and openness to difference, altruism and respect.  We rock!

Yan and I still have at least one year in this country (maybe more???) and I will enjoy every minute of it.  I am not saying that I won’t complain at all (because I am sure we will have road blocks coming our way); however, everything good about this country, I will embrace it.

P.S.  Next time you want to complain about paying your municipal or income taxes, give me shout and I will be more than happy to explain you why you want to pay them.

P.S.S.  This needs a photograph, right?  A view of Rome from Parco Mellini.  How many famous landmarks can you spot?  Check out our new Facebook page on Wednesday to get the answers.  Oh!  Don’t forget to Like us!!!

Enjoy!

I am really enjoying the theme/design of your weblog. Do you ever run into any web browser compatibility problems? A few of my blog readers have complained about my blog not operating correctly in Explorer but looks great in Chrome. Do you have any ideas to help fix this issue?

    Penny,
I use WordPress (wordpress.org) and it has been working great for me. Give it a try!
