I took a panorama of part of the Dam Square, with the Koninklijk Paleis (Royal Palace), on the left side, and beside it is the 15th-century Gothic Nieuwe Kerk (New Church). A tiny bit of history: The Royal Palace was originally built as the City Hall in 1655 until its conversion in 1808 by Napoleon Bonaparte’s brother, Louis Bonaparte, King of Holland.
