I took a photograph of the Naples lighthouse on the boat back from Ischia. You remember, I told you that the boat was old and dirty? This is the view we had from the window… All the streaks, the cracks and the dark spots where all there and it contributed to give an instant vintage look to the photograph without being photoshopped at all.
This how I did it: Instead of focusing on the lighthouse, I focused on the window and TA-DAH… Yes, it was that simple. Try this next time you take a shot through a window; it might turn out better than you would have expected.
